Dopamine Dressing – Yoga Style

As yogis we’re no stranger to the dopamine rush. Long slow movements have been proven to stimulate the brain’s production of the so-called ‘Happy Hormone.’ But now fashion is doing its bit to boost our happiness. While the dopamine effect may not be proven for clothing, we all know how much better we feel when we see vibrant colours and flamboyant patterns. How good did we feel watching Emma Stone dance in THAT yellow dress? And what about Victoria Beckham in those orange palazzo pants and blue shirt? These happy tones, seen on the catwalks of Giorgio Armani and Anya Hindmarch, are making their way to the streets and the yoga mat. So why not give give the trend a try next time you get into your yoga gear and double down on the dopamine.
